This week we look at two bid mistake cases. In the first, the case is sent back to the trial court to determine if a general contractor relied on a bid by a subcontractor in a suit against the subcontractor for extra costs. The second case involves a case from Canada, courtesy of the Construction Law Letter, where a mistake was found in a bid document resulting in a $500,000 higher payment request for concrete removal.

Tips and Techniques continues with part 2 of our exclusive series on measuring labor productivity by Dr. H. Randolph Thomas of Penn State University. This week’s topic is on the use of industry average curves and their inherent inaccuracies.
