DEVELOPER/CONTRACTOR PAYS TREBLE DAMAGES FOR CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS

In a construction defects case, defendants, a developer, contractor and sales organization that sold sixty-three houses in a townhome community, were required to pay damages of $3,618,000 for water intrusion and structural defects. The trial court trebled the damages to $9,879,000 plus interests, costs and fees.
