GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN DID NOT EXTEND DUE DATE FOR PROPOSALS

A provision of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, extending the due date for proposals when normal government processes are interrupted, was not invoked during a snowstorm that shut down government offices. Though closed for the four days leading up to the deadline, the office was open and able to receive proposals at the time they were due.
