SUBCONTRACTOR LIABLE FOR ITS EMPLOYEES INJURIES PRIME AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER OFF THE HOOK

The Circuit Court of Cook County dismissed the claims of a subcontractors employee against the prime contractor and construction manager for a personal injury sustained at the worksite. The appellate court affirmed the Circuit Courts decision, rejecting common exceptions to the "oversight" rule and the plaintiff's assertion that the beam that caused the accident was a defective "product."
