FAILURE TO FOLLOW CLAIM PROCEDURES BARS SUBCONTRACTOR’S RECOVERY OF ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION

A “sort it out later” approach to claims does not make for effective operating procedures, says a federal district court judge. Failure to follow the claims submittal requirements of a contract will likely render the claim invalid.
