DESIGN SERVICES LIENABLE BECAUSE THEY LAID GROUNDWORK FOR PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS

Design services used to entice prospective tenants to an office/residential building are covered by a states mechanics lien statute. Physical improvements are not necessary to trigger the protections afforded by the statute.
