GALLOWAY RELEASES NEW BOOK FOR CIVIL ENGINEERS

ASCE Press has just announced the release of Patricia D. Galloway's book, The 21st Century Engineer. In it, she discusses the skill set of today’s engineer and also presents non-technical areas in which civil engineers must become proficient to survive and succeed in a global landscape.

Galloway is the CEO of The Nielsen-Wurster Group, an international management-consulting firm with offices through the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific. She is the first woman to have served as president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). She is also one of the panelists for the upcoming audio conference sponsored by Construction Claims Advisor, which will be broadcast Nov. 12.

The 21st Century Engineer is available for purchase through ASCE Press. The 152-page book retails for $39 (and $29.95 for ASCE members). For ordering information, call 800-548-ASCE or send an e-mail inquiry to pubsful@asce.org.
