Jim Day, LEED-AP, has spent the past 17 years with Clark Construction, a privately-held commercial general contractor consistently ranked by ENR as the top 15 largest contractors (currently ranked #13). Day is Vice President LEED AP and is responsible for all aspects of its Las Vegas business unit
Day serves on the Construction Management Advisory Board for UNLV. He has served active roles in developing projects for UNLV Greenspun (designed for LEED® Gold Certification; completion August, 2008), MGM automated people movers at Bellagio and Monte Carlo resorts and the Veteran's Affairs Design-Building Nursing Home. His project experience includes office, courthouse, sports facilities, seismic retrofit, heavy/civil and hospitality, and delivery methods include lump sum, negotiated/GMP, design-build and unit price. Day, a LEED® Accredited Professional, holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Josh Greenfield, PE, LEED-AP, is a project manager with Primera Engineers, Ltd. of Chicago, IL, a firm that has been helping the Chicago school system fulfill its sustainability mandates. Greenfield has extensive consulting experience on both the design and construction side of LEED® projects. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and ASHRAE Chicago Chapters.
He is currently involved in multiple sustainable consulting projects in various markets from the private and public sectors following LEED® for New Construction, LEED® for Existing Buildings, LEED® Core & Shell, LEED® for Schools, LEED® for Commercial Interiors, LEED for Healthcare and LEED Neighborhood Development. His expertise and knowledge of the LEED® principles and rating system are in increasingly high demand with general contractors who require LEED® consulting services throughout the construction phase of projects. Most recently, Mr. Greenfield has taken his valuable skills international by providing LEED® consulting services for a commercial development in Mexico City, Mexico. The project shows promise of being a springboard for other sustainable practices and projects in the country. |
